Product description
This is your ideal adhesive for use in wet environments, to get great results with your safety flooring.
AltroFix 19 Plus is a solvent and water-free, two-part polyurethane adhesive. That means water and most other liquids do not affect it after it’s cured.
It’s available in three sizes: 1.5 kg, 3 kg, and 6 kg. This is a two-part adhesive, so you have to mix two components before you start, known as Part A and Part B, but each size container comes with the correct quantities for mixing already measured and separated out, so you don’t have to worry about getting the measuring right.
To make installation easier, we’ve coloured this adhesive beige, so you can see exactly where you’ve spread it as you install your floor.
Frequently asked questions
Where can I use this product?
AltroFix 19 Plus is designed for use in areas where you could spill water or most other liquids, for example, bathrooms, changing rooms and kitchens. If you have any damage to your flooring in these environments, using this adhesive will give you a degree of extra protection before you carry out repairs.
It is not suitable for use on vertical surfaces.
If you need an adhesive for dry areas, where you will not have any spillages, consider AltroFix 15 or AltroFix 365.
What prep do I need?
It is important that you make the subfloor is as smooth as possible, as any undulation may cause pockets of adhesive to form bubbles in the floor covering.
What subfloors can it I use it on?
You can use AltroFix 19 Plus on dry, dust-free subfloors such as sand/cement, flooring grade asphalt (flooring grade 1 to BS 6925:1988), granolite, plywood, chipboard, hardboard, metal and epoxy surfaces, damp-proof membranes and power float concrete.
You can also use it with Altro flooring which is bonded to AltroEverlay underlayment.

How do I mix it?
Part A is a viscous paste. Part B is a fluid liquid supplied in silver foil sachets. Put Part A into a large container and stir thoroughly, then add Part B and mix thoroughly until you achieve a uniform consistency throughout.
We recommend that you use a drill with a paddle attachment to ensure complete mixing. Scrape the sides of the container thoroughly during this process. Take care to avoid spilling any as you mix, as you could stain the floor surface if you do.
Only mix full packs.
How do I apply it when installing a sheet / roll?
Apply the adhesive to the subfloor only, as soon as possible before the adhesive thickens (within 15-20 minutes of mixing, depending on the temperature). Spread it evenly with a notched trowel. It is important to use a small-notched trowel to avoid entrapment of air between the floor covering and subfloor. Place the floor covering into wet adhesive, do not roll, and expel all trapped air with the use of a flat wooden or Perspex trowel, wrapped in a soft textile material, which has been pre-wetted. Limit trafficking of the floorcovering while the adhesive is still fresh. If any corners, joints or edges are lifting while the adhesive is setting, weight these down. Leave the weight undisturbed and the floorcovering traffic-free until the adhesive has set. If you do not follow this procedure, take special care to check all joints etc, before you leave site for the day.
How do I clean my equipment and the installation area?
You should remove excess adhesive, then wipe clean with solvent wipes or turps.
